RIVERBOARDING TRIPS: RIVER SURFING SEASON HAS ARRIVED
Missoula Montana’s ultimate summer adventure is a river board trip on the Clark Fork River with Montana River Guides. River surfing doesn’t get any better and the rapids have plenty of peer and fun. We have perfect conditions right now on the Clark Fork River’s Alberton Gorge for riverboarding trips complete with surfable waves. The Rollercoaster wave has just formed as river flows have been dropping steadily. yesterday river board guests Kelly and Molly caught it on their first and second tries.
The Alberton Gorge is uniquely suited for riverboarding with fun Class II and III rapids and a variety of surfable waves throughout mid to late summer. As flows drop, the surface of the river moves closer to river bottom rocks. Standing waves begin to appear so we can pull over during our descent of the Gorge and try surfing in a variety of rapids. Triple Bridges, Split Rock, Tumbleweed, Surfer Joe, Roller Coaster and Fang will all have surf able waves emerging, each one different and challenging to catch.
Montana River Guides has been guiding river board trips for over twenty years and are the premier river boarding destination in the United States. No experience is necessary to sign up for the ultimate whitewater experience. All you need to do is be a reasonable and enthusiastic swimmer; we provide all of the gear, instruction and guidance along with the perfect river for blasting through rapids in a spectacular Montana canyon. So join us for a guided trip on the Alberton Gorge near Missoula Montana. We are running trips daily at 9am, 2 pm or 4 pm.
