Scenic Raft & Kayak Tours near Missoula: Clark Fork River

Clark Fork River Scenic Floats
When other Montana rivers get too low to float, the Clark Fork River near Missoula still offers a variety of scenic kayak & raft trip options. Our advice is beat the August heat and afternoon headwinds and choose a morning scenic float. There are fewer floaters and better opportunities for wildlife viewing if you launch by 9am.
Our guided scenic tours provide all equipment, shuttle and guides so you can relax and experience western Montana’s natural beauty. From the comfort of the raft you’ll look for eagles, osprey, heron, kingfisher, otter, beaver, deer and even moose or the occasional bear. If you want to paddle your own boat opt for a single or tandem kayak.
We offer brunch or lunch options in addition to our half day trips which start at $69 and up. We have been guiding the Clark Fork River for 33 years. Owners Sam & Everett Johnston grew up paddling and guiding the Clark Fork and set the standard for fun professional river trips. Both are river rescue instructors and EMT’s for the Whitewater Rescue Institute and help local rescue teams with training and river emergency responses. We are lucky to live and work on the river we love and look forward to sharing it with you.
