Swiftwater Rescue Classes, Rowing Clinics and Raft Guide Schools

 Scheduled for this April May and June near Missoula, Montana on the Clark Fork and Blackfoot Rivers

We’re looking forward to our 32nd year of guiding trips and teaching river skills on our favorite Montana Rivers. While we have taught as far away as India and Costa Rica, our favorite place to teach is here in Missoula on our home rivers.

For private boaters looking to learn rafting fundamentals we have a series of Rowing Clinics this spring. Our Swiftwater Rescue Classes prove hands on, fun, scenario based training certified through the Whitewater Rescue Institute. 

Learn how to deal with the most common things that can go wrong and end up getting better at preventing that from happening to you and your crew. For prospective professional Raft Guides our  Raft Guide Schools are intensive five day courses designed to provide a foundation for a lifetime of river running and risk management.  Our Women’s Whitewater Workshop is on the calendar for June 5-7.  Instructors Caleb Dickinson, Everett Johnston, Jane Webber, Amy Braig, and Sam Johnston are all back ready to provide thoughtful, practical fun classes as we get ready for another whitewater season at Montana River Guides.
